The enamel depicting women in fields from Jean Francois Millet’s 1857 painting named “The gleaners”.
Stamped 800 and 304 makers mark & F1 for Florence Italy.
Beautifully engraved to the base and sides, with a gilt interior and mirror.
Condition: Very good, with the original mirror on the inside still intact, signs of use and tarnishing throughout. There is no visible damage to the enamel. Shuts well. Slight damage to inner coating. Slightly misshaped rim.
Measuring in diameter approximately 5.8cm, total weight 59g.
