A simply charming 17th century oak side chair, having an abundance of warmth and character to the timbers.
 
c 1680.
 
Beautifully carved top rail cresting to the slatted back, surmounted with turned finials and uprights.
 
The solid seat with turned baluster forelegs, joined by rectangular stretchers.
 
Very solid, sturdy and strong. Expected signs of age and use.
