The gold chain consists of rounded oval links conjoined with two pierced holes.

The yellow gold chain is fitted to one side with a swivel clasp and ring loops to the opposing end.

The swivel clasp and chain links is hallmarked with the 15ct gold fineness mark (15, .625); the clasp also bears the maker's mark (EW); such pieces are often crafted in 9ct gold, this higher hallmarked fineness indicates the superior quality of the piece.
