The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Small gilt and blue enamel flowers are dotted around the belly and over the top of the cover. The knop is picked out in gilt and the rims and handle are also trimmed in gilt. An incised cross is marked to the base. Paris, c.1870.
It measures 7.5cm (3") high (5cm (2 1/8") to the rim) and 6.5cm (2 1/2") wide across the belly.
In truly excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear.
