finely crafted seated bronze figure of Guanyin (Kwan Yin), the

Bodhisattva of Compassion in East Asian Buddhism

Circa 1930 and with lovely patina to the bronze

Guanyin is seated in the lotus position (padmasana) upon a double-lotus pedestal base. Her right hand is raised in the vitarka mudra (gesture of teaching or discussion), while the left hand rests in her lap, holding a small vase or flask — a common symbol of the nectar of compassion
