A 19th Century Tortoise Shell Mantle Clock.

A decorative 19th century french gilt bronze and tortoise shell 8 day mantle clock, having a french movement but the case and dial made by howell and james ltd of regent street london 1819 - 1911.
 
The mantle clock is in good order and keeps good time, the bell hammer could do with a bit of attention but everything is present, the clock comes with an associated winding key which isn''t quite the right size but it does the job.
