Large 19th C Mahogany Dressing Mirror

Description

A Large 19th Century Mahogany Dressing Mirror.

With a pediment of carved Prince of Wales feathers, meeting scrolling leaves, flowing to smaller rosette paterae, joining the vase finials of the shaped and tapered reeded columns, which fall outward to, again, rosette paterae. The crossbanded body holding the plate, hinging on brass floral decorated handles. The mirror standing on reeded legs, sweeping to scrolled toes, faced with rosette paterae, the legs joined by a lower reeded and bowed rail.

Date circa 1830.
