George III Sterling Silver Needle Case & Bodkin Both Samuel Pemberton C1792

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Queens Antiques and Collectables

An early Sterling Silver Georgian Needle case & Bodkin both stamped SP for Samuel Pemberton. The date letter and town have been completed rubbed off but I place the item around the early 1790’s. Body is very nicely engraved with a leaf design.

Measuring 7.5 cm x 1 cm with a combined weight of 5.77 grams.

In well good antique condition, hallmarks are rubbed except the makers mark, vacant cartouche to the front which has a few small dings/dents, usual small signs of wear commensurate of age and use.

A very nice early period piece, quite rare to find the matching case and bodkin, both hallmarked by the same very good maker Samuel Pemberton.
