Antique silver Stauffer chronograph pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss chronograph movement which is working nicely. The movement is unsigned but has been confirmed as by Stauffer & Co. The movement has a brevet number on the movement, 4821/115, for an 1892 patent in the name of Nicolet.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental marks for 935 silver inside both of the case backs. The front of the case is in good condition, minor small patches of unevenness to the sides, and some marks to the hinged case back,

The glass lens is in good condition.

The dial is in good condition, just a faint hairline running between the two subsidiary dials. Pin-set blued steel hands. A subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock for constant seconds, and another at 12 o’clock to record up to 60 minutes… the hand on this sub dial moves anti clockwise to indicate the minutes elapsed… this, and the curved arrow, are usually seen on Stauffer chronographs.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
