P A Oxley Antique Clocks & Barometers has dated this Regency Ebonised Bracket Clock to the Regency era.
The double fusee movement strikes and the repeats the hour on a single bell. The silvered brass dial features Roman numerals, strike/silent and matching blued steel hands.
The case is of an unusual design and is delightfully small.
The top of the case is almost a combination of a bell top and pagoda top together and is finished with a brass carrying handle.
A rare example.
NOTE: This clock has only just recently arrived. The case will require some sympathetic restoration and the movement will be fully serviced and guaranteed for 3 years.
