Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Nouveau silverware is characterised by organic forms, sinuous whiplash lines, and naturalistic motifs such as stylized flowers and foliage. Popularised between 1890 and 1910, this movement favoured flowing compositions and expressive hand-carved detailing over strict classical symmetry.

Antique napkin rings were typically crafted from sterling silver or silver plate using metalworking techniques like casting, chasing, and repousse hammering. Craftspeople pressed relief patterns directly into the cylindrical metal band and finished the top and bottom with rolled edges.

Authentic silver pieces feature official hallmarks that indicate the makers mark, silver purity grade, assay office symbol, and date stamp. Furthermore, genuine period items display natural hand-tooling marks and subtle surface wear consistent with age rather than uniform machine production.

Antique silver napkin rings can be paired with neutral linen napkins atop stone or timber dining tables to create balanced visual contrast. Mixing individual period silver napkin rings across a table setting adds varied texture and historical interest to contemporary dining spaces.

Maintain silver napkin rings by wiping them gently with a soft cloth and a specialized silver polish designed to remove oxidisation without abrading the surface detail. Avoid harsh chemicals or dishwasher cleaning, and store the items in anti-tarnish cloth pouches when not in use.
