Elm 'Bandsman' Chairs - c1850 - Stamped

Four lovely elm chairs in great order. They offer solid seating and great warmth and charm.

Dating from c1850 and stamped to the rear these benefit from excellent elm grain to the seats.

The turned legs are unified by double H-stretchers to provide a robust base. The seat back consists of triple turned uprights flanked by swept and tapering main uprights detailed nicely with a round detail below the header rail.

Overall an excellent set of chairs, in great condition, and wonderfully comfortable too.
