Delightful George V Silver Jewellery Box by a & J Zimmerman, Birmingham 1910

Description

This delightful silver jewellery box was made in Birmingham in 1910 and and bears the marks of A & J Zimmerman. The domed circular cover prettily engraved with a ribbon-tied garland. The plain circular body raised on three paw cabriole legs. Gilt inner lid and original blue silk interior.

Brown Morocco leather base.

Hallmarks:

A&J Z for A & J Zimmerman (Arthur & John Zimmerman)

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "l" for 1910.

Lion passant.

Condition:

Very good

Cover free from dings and in very good smooth condition.

Strong hinge.

Clean original interior.

Dimensions:

Diameter: 7cm / 2.4 inches.

Height: 3.5cm / 1.2 inches.
