Pinefinders has dated this piece to the 1910s.
It appears to have its original wax finish — likely varnished originally and later waxed. As you can see, it would benefit from a clean and a fresh coat of wax to revive the wood.
The back is tidy and clean, so the pew can be placed in the centre of a room where the back is visible. Structurally it’s sound — it just needs some cosmetic attention.
