The engraved hinged cover with a pierced thumb piece.The back with a shaped scroll handle. The inner lid partially hallmarked and the spread circular base fully hallmarked on the underside. The interior fitted with the original star-cut Bristol blue glass liner. Sold with an associated Georgian silver mustard spoon by Robert Rutland dated London 1823
