Lee Sherman Antiques has dated this Charlotte Rhead Ceramic Charger to the 1930s.
This beautiful hand-painted charger showcases Rhead’s exceptional tubelining technique, for which she became renowned.

Decorated in vibrant Art Deco colours, the design features stylised lilies, primroses and acanthus leaves, all set against a wonderfully rich honey-mottled marbled ground. The raised tubelined outlines give the piece a tactile quality, making it as pleasing to handle as it is to admire. A bold bright border frames the composition perfectly.

The reverse carries the Crown Ducal stamp, the pattern number, and the full Charlotte Rhead signature.
This impressive charger measures 43.5 cm in diameter and is a striking decorative statement piece. The Art Deco colours remain bright, crisp and unfaded, and the charger rings true when tapped. It is in lovely overall condition with no cracks, stains or fading.
A superb example of Rhead’s Art Deco craftsmanship, perfect for collectors and ideal as a feature piece in any interior, larger than yoiuy average charger.
