Delightful George V Silver and Banded Agate Trowel Bookmark by William Henry Leather, Birmingham 1915

Description

This charming silver and red banded agate "trowel" bookmark is dated Birmingham 1915 and bears the marks of William Henry Leather. The engraved silver ferrule inset with a banded agate handle. The translucent agate handle a delicate and elegant colour. The blade fully hallmarked. it is a small example.

Hallmarks:

W.H.L for William Henry Leather.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "q" for 1915.

Dimensions:

Length: 6.5cm / 2.6 inches.

Maximum width: 1cm / 0.3 inches.

Condition:

Reasonable.

Agate handle in perfect condition.

Clear Hallmarks.

Silver blade uneven.
