Top-notch Large Art Nouveau Silver Plated Serving Tray C.1890

Description

One of the best I have come across in some time, a fabulous Art Nouveau design with a magnificent pierced or reticulated floral and foliate border.

All of the engraved work which adorns the tray base is hand chased, not machine produced, making this a very special example. The handles too have a wonderful Art Nouveau design.

This solid and very heavy tray stands on four integral feet. The underside is also where the hallmarks can be found EPNS for Electo-Plated-Nickel-Silver, the makers initials are also present, unfortunately hard to read, shield shaped and ending in a G, I will keep the search on to identify.

Magnificent in every way! Due to the size and weight, this tray will be despatched worldwide by FedEx Express and within the UK via TNT couriers (next day) ... all included in the price. 26" handle to handle x 16 1/2".
