Fabulous Art Deco Silver and Guilloche Enamel Compact by Crisford & Norris, Birmingham 1931

1920 - 1940
Description

This beautiful silver mounted pale turquoise guilloche enamel compact is dated Birmingham 1931 and bears the marks of Crisford & Norris. Of circular form the centre inset with a delicate turquoise/green guilloche enamel cabochon within an ovolo border. The hinged cover opening to reveal the original fittings and a hallmarked gilt interior. The back with elegant engine-turned decorations.

Hallmarks:

C&N for Crisford & Norris.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "G" for 1931.

Dimensions:

5.5cm diameter / 2.1 inches.

Condition:

Good.

Enamel in excellent shiny condition.

Back in excellent condition.

Interior in good condition.

Snaps shuts nicely.
