Marlborough Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The bold breakfront design, rounded corners and solid mahogany mouldings reflect high-quality cabinetmaking of the 19th century.

The interior is arranged with a central drawer over double doors, flanked by two generous side cupboards:
– the left-hand cupboard retains its original Victorian sliding trays,
– the right-hand cupboard has its original fixed shelves,

a correct and typical configuration for quality pieces of this period.
The arched panelled doors, book-matched veneers and shapely mouldings present beautifully. Inside, the carcass and shelving remain entirely original. Condition is excellent for age with only minor, historic marks.
A substantial and elegant storage piece ideal for dining rooms, living spaces or hallways where character and quality are desired.
