A Pair of Decent Sized 19th Century Imari Vases.
Each with an outswept rim, decorated to the inner edge with trailing flowers, whilst the concave collar is decorated with trailing leaves, set amongst a profusion of flowers, topped by flower filled lancets. The body, slightly ribbed and decorated with arcaded panels, filled with exotic birds, flying above flowers and foliage, with other panels of garden trees in full bloom, withing which birds perch. The panels set against a blue ground, decorated with flowers, petals and bud filled lattice windows.
Date circa 1870.
