Victorian Mahogany Harp Shaped Toilet Mirror c.1880
Offered for sale is a fine quality late 19th century Victorian toilet mirror.
The frame is beautifully shaped in the form of stylised harp supports, carved in solid mahogany with good colour and pleasing patina. The mirror is set on a shaped platform base with ogee moulding and rests on bun feet.
Retains the original mirror plate, showing some foxing and a small loss to the silvering upper right, as expected with age. The glass remains clear and usable. The frame and base are in good, sound condition, with only minor wear and surface marks in line with age and use.
A handsome decorative piece, useful atop a dressing table or as a standalone display item.
Dimensions:
Width: 66 cm
Depth: 32 cm
Height: 69 cm
Condition:
Good overall condition. Some wear to the mirror plate, light marks to the wood consistent with age. Structurally sound.
