Lincoln Restorations has dated this Oak Folding Cake Stand to the 1920s.
A charming original cake stand.
The piece features a characteristically slender, upright frame topped with a charmingly scrolled and shaped cresting.
It includes three square-shaped serving trays, each accented with a decorative, recessed circular moulding. A key functional feature is the clever folding design, allowing the trays to pivot flat against the frame for easy storage.
The stand displays a rich, medium-brown finish with visible grain, offering a classic, functional, and decorative piece perfect for displaying refreshments.
The table has been through our workshop so we can assure that it is in fantastic, solid condition, with no joint movement or wobbles. We have cleaned and waxed the table, which retains its original, lightly faded French polished finish, showcasing a lovely patina that can only be achieved with time and care.
Condition and Provenance As an antique, this table does show signs of age and use. While in fantastic condition, expect minor marks consistent with historical pieces. The table is of a great quality and is structurally sound, with no major damage that would detract from its beauty or functionality.
