1920s Trojan pocket watch by Armand Jeanneret.
The watch has a good quality Swiss Moeris 15-jewel (adjusted) stem-winding movement, calibre 19C, which is working nicely. Jeanneret established Moeris in 1883. This Moeris watch was then sold under the brand name Trojan, a brand name registered by Armand Jeanneret in 1924. The movement boasts a ‘safety barrel’ which is a device to prevent damage in the event of the mainspring breaking. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is in nice condition, just light surface marks.
The glass lens has a light 5mm scratch but not too detrimental at all.
The signed white enamel dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial (with a touch of darkening) and outer minute markers.
The watch comes with a single chain, 34cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
