The motors for these devices were often manufactured by Thorens in Switzerland,
The components, including a collapsible spoked record table, soundbox with support arm, winding key and speaker horn all packed securely into the small case. The soundbox bears the 'Peter Pan' name and there is an additional label within the lid of the case.
The gramophone is housed in a wooden case which is covered in a brown faux crocodile leather with a leather carrying handle and metal closing latches.
It is in good condition for its age and the motor appears to work well although I have not tested it with a record. The plating on the metal parts is generally clean and bright with some minor spots of wear and tarnish. The outer casing has a few small scuffs and marks and general signs of wear but nothing untoward or detrimental. The parts move well and the horn springs forward as it is designed to although there is a small taped repair to the top of the leather on the horn. I believe the winding key is a replacement although it works well. There is a small crack on the cover of the sound box but this doesn't affect it functionally.
