Early C19th Cobbler’s Work Stool

This item is a 19th-century workbench and chair, traditionally used for shoe making and repair. The front wooden block features a metal ring and an opening designed to fit an iron shoe last, enabling the cobbler to efficiently work on footwear.
 
The piece is handmade and shows signs of old inactive woodworm, which have been treated for added assurance.
