Description

A particularly good late Victorian mahogany bedside cabinet, restrained in design but executed to a very high standard. The moulded top with a shallow rear gallery sits over a single fielded-panel door crafted in richly figured mahogany with a warm tone, all raised on a plinth base. The door opens via its original turned wooden knob to a clean interior with single raised shelf.

A fine example of late Victorian cabinet work, deceptively simple yet incredibly well-made. Equally at home beside a bed or serving as a refined occasional piece offering discreet storage in a hallway or living space.

Presented in very good antique condition, with a pleasing patina and minor age-related wear. Structurally solid, clean and ready to place in the home.
