This is a stunning set of six plates and three open tureens/dishes
Plates are 9.5inches (24cm) diameter
Open dishes are 123/4 inches (32cm) length , 91/2 inches (24cm) wide 2 inches( 5cm) tall
Manufactured in Yorkshire, England. During the “Hanover” period within English history, George IV was on the throne and the “Tory” prime ministers of the time were The Earl of Liverpool, Vicount Goderich. …Just prior to The Duke of Wellington becoming Prime minister.
These are clearly dishes produced for a more “well to do” household, imagine what transformations and changes in social history they have survived
The plates are clearly stamped with the red griffin , identifying them as first period 1826-1840 backstamp
In red the pattern number is clearly painted
The hand painting is stunning and the skills of the artist are clear as the flowers are easily identifiable.
There is some gilding wear to the rims commensurate with age
Two of The dishes have some discolourat
...ion and
two plates have rim cracks.extensively photographed
The plates have stilt marks on the reverse and there are some minor under glaze soot marks
I can always provide more photographs or remote viewing
However these minor faults are photographed and the items can be viewed by appointment in the shop.
