A fine Victorian coal scuttle beautifully made in richly figured walnut with decorative pierced brass mounts. The shaped body features brass strapwork detailing and side panels with attractive grain patterning. The hinged lid lifts to reveal a clean interior for storing coal, kindling, or fireplace accessories.

The piece retains its original brass scoop mounted neatly on the back. The scrolling brass carrying handle is both practical and decorative adding elegance to the overall design. The scuttle stands securely and displays well from all angles.
