Founders Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The craftsmanship and veneering quality are of a high order, with the table finished in a deep, even polish.

Below, the fitted upper drawer contains a lined divided interior, while the lower drawer forms a deep work-box compartment, both recently relined. The whole stands on turned and carved walnut supports joined by a central stretcher, the legs terminating in scroll feet on small brass castors. The original hand-cut brass hinges are neatly recessed and fully functional.

Presented in very good antique condition, with some surface wear consistent with age and use. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1870.
