Description

This Runner falls within a well known group of Rugs from the border region of North-East Persia and the Southern Caucasus.

They are variously attributed to the Shahsavan Tribe but this is more likely a village weaving from Karaja.

This stunning piece has a greater than average width and good length and so creates a great entrance impression.A lovely balanced design with great inky Blues contrasting the soft Ivory tones at the centre and border.Condition is great and has slight wear in places which does not detract from its beauty.

Hand washed and ready to go for another hundred years.
