Leroy of Paris Boulle Mantel Clock

Description

An impressive inlaid mantel clock by Leroy of Paris. A smaller proportioned brass and red tortoishell boulle case. Inlaid front and sides to the case. Gilt case mounts in the rococo style. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and ornate blued steel hands. A well cast gilt dial bezel surround and bevelled glass. A glass front panel showing the original decorative sunburst gilt pendulum. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell signed Leroy. Circa 1890.
