Antique Saryk Turkmen chuval face with 12 chuval guls on a rich red coloured ground.
 
Circa 1890.
 
An interesting chuval face with three rows of four chuval guls on a clear red ground. The main border is a classic Saryk Turkmen design. The elem is of the flower or shrub design. All of the whites are in cotton, the wefts are also in fine white cotton.
 
Good condition with even wear and medium pile, the sides may have been reduced and new selvedge''s added; this is reflected in the price.
