Victorian Arts & Crafts Stained Glass Oil Lamp Hall Lantern
 
A decorative late 19th-century brass hanging lantern in the Arts & Crafts style, retaining its original oil lamp fitting. The pierced gilt brass frame is mounted with foliate and floral ornament to the top gallery and features a suite of stained, cut and textured glass panels in ruby, amber, and frosted tones.
 
Fitted with its original Cosmos burner and glass chimney, and complete with a removable brass font, which rests in a fitted cradle inside the lantern. The lantern is suspended from an integrated brass loop and features a domed upper section with decorative cresting.

Glass panels all intact and in good order. Some expected surface wear and age-related tarnish to the brass. The font shows old denting to the underside, as shown, but remains stable. Overall a highly decorative and presentable piece of late Victorian lighting.
