Description

Fine George I Walnut Chest on Chest, Early 18th Century

This George I walnut chest on chest is an exquisite example of early 18th-century English craftsmanship. Constructed from beautifully figured walnut veneers, it exudes timeless elegance and superb patina that only centuries of careful preservation can achieve. The upper section features a cornice with 3 short drawers over three long drawers, while the lower section presents the unusual design of a pair of short drawers over 2 long graduated drawers, all fitted with lovely, fretted brass handles and escutcheons.
