A fine late Victorian antique fold-over card table beautifully crafted in richly figured mahogany with delicate satinwood crossbanding and string inlay. The demi-lune top opens to form a circular baize-lined playing surface, supported by a swivel action for ease and stability.
Raised on elegant square tapering legs with brass castors, the table combines refined design with excellent craftsmanship typical of the late 19th century. The mahogany has a superb warm patina enhanced by the contrasting satinwood inlay that highlights its graceful proportions.
A versatile and decorative piece — ideal as a hall or console table when closed, and as a stylish card or games table when open.
