Description

I love these fabulous old Bidjar carpets with the 'Mina Khani' design. This one is a great example for a number of reasons; It is the older type with a woollen warp and weft, it has a red ground and most unusually it has a golden yellow border. If you look closely at the Mina Khani, you will see that no two flowers are the same, even when they are meant to be, and the vines flowing in a circular motion that connect the flowerheads are also, jigging and bumping around. All of these small details add up to a captivating rug, a work of pure art, that gives great pleasure even after many years.
