A well carved mid 17thc oak applique, which probably came from a grand piece of furniture in a manor house or church of the pagan god ''Green Man'' who represents fertility and the power of nature, regeneration, and the cycle of the seasons....it is beautifully carved out of English oak and has gained a very good patina....
