A very good late 18thc painted ''child''s'' chair, it still retains the original green paint and is of classic ''primitive'' form, typical of the west country....the chair is made from ash for the arms, legs, top rail and seat.....the turned spindles are all made from beech...in lovely untouched condition....it has lost the small scroll to the end of one arm, so long ago it has now gained a patination where it broke off....I think it should be left original as it doesn''t detract from this beautiful chair....excellent overall condition.
W. Country - England C1770-90.
