Founders Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A small pull-out slide with brass ring handle extends from beneath the top, a vestige of the Georgian tea-service tradition from which this design descends.

Light, graceful and impeccably balanced, this stand embodies the Edwardian fondness for reviving Georgian forms with delicacy and restraint. The pull-out slide nods to its original function as an urn or kettle stand.

Presented in very good antique condition with a rich, even patina and only light surface wear consistent with age including some little nibbles to the feet. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1905.
