A Victorian oak library chair stamped John Taylor & Son of Edinburgh 09199, c.1870. The design includes a gently curved top rail, shapely back support and turned front legs with fluted detail. The seat is upholstered in brown leather with brass studs, complementing the warm golden oak tone. The rear legs are sabre-shaped, typical of the period, and the overall scale suits a desk, bedroom or occasional setting.
