A rare early Minton porcelain vase of lobed oval form on a raised foot, decorated in a vivid Imari-style palette of iron-red, cobalt and green enamels. The centre reserves the celebrated “Crazy Cow” (a.k.a. “Bengal Tiger”) within a cobalt medallion; base painted 106. Among the highest-value English porcelain decorations, Crazy Cow ranks with Dragon in Compartment for desirability—here made rarer still by the large, unusual oval form with scalloped rim and dense flower-scroll interior.
