Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Danish Bisque Ceramic Vase to the 19th Century.
Distributed in Britain by A. Borgen & Co., London (impressed mark to the base).

One side depicts the “Angel of the Night” carrying a sleeping child, symbolising spiritual protection; the reverse shows a winged female with two children and an owl — emblem of Athena and wisdom. Crafted in soft buff bisque with clean, sculptural definition, this piece embodies the Scandinavian interpretation of Neoclassicism that characterised late-Victorian taste.
