Made by the renowned French maker DEP ~ from the Depary family name, who flourished in the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 30s. Also marketed at this time to stand for Dur�e, Elegance and Precision.Very stylish cubist shape, with an offset white marble block incorporating the face, set off against a larger variegated marble backing. Lovely clear face with it''s superb Art Deco stylised elongated numerals that can''t be mistaken for any other era.It is in really excellent original clean condition ~ please refer to the detailed photographs. Fully serviced by a qualified horologist. Please note this clock works better as do all mechanical clocks on a perfectly flat surface, and after moving needs a very gentle shake to start it off again, but then once settled, it has had no problems.Beautiful quality and lovely little clock & very evocative of the Art Deco period.
