19th Century Elm & Ash Lancashire Rush Seat Country Elbow Chair Carver Armchair

A 19th-century Lancashire-type country carver armchair, constructed from elm and ash with a traditional rush seat. The chair features a triple row of turned spindle back supports between turned uprights, shaped open arms with turned supports, and a handwoven rush seat. It stands on rounded front legs with offset pad feet and squared rear legs, united by stretchers for strength and stability.
