Description

A lovely Spode bone china coffee can with a stylised imari pattern with a basket of flowers set in front of an oriental fence and surrounding flower sprays. The upper frieze has segmented panels with stylised flowers and very sweet oriental ducks or geese. Decorated mainly in gilt with a vibrant mix of enamels in iron red, royal blue, teal and lilac pink. Unmarked, known to be pattern number 498, c.1805.

It measures 6.5cm (2 9/16") high and 6.4cm (2 1/2") rim to rim.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair and minimal handling wear.
