Good, impressive original Georgian circa 1800-1820 period mahogany bureau bookcase inlaid with ebony, tulipwood and boxwood inlays bureau bookcase shown before and after restoration please look at images. Please note above the interior drawers is partitioned and not missing drawers.
After two hundred and twenty years of use needed a through restoration from top to bottom. Drawer’s runners have been repaired so drawers run smoothly these are often overlooked small repairs have been undertaken throughout glazing has been replaced where missing old glass was used. A third shelve will be fitted before delivery.
The brass handles are antique replacements.
