Description

A 1949 Universal Geneve stainless steel wristwatch. A silvered dial with a finely detailed minute/second track to the outer edges. Lume filled Arabic numerals indicate the hours, each backed with a large dot. The minute track is segmented with 5 minute markers. Signed 'Universal Geneve' in print to below 12 o'clock and Swiss Made below 6 o'clock. Classic Universal Geneve shaped hands with lume fill.

A stainless steel case with an integral bezel with a slight champfer. The lugs are well designed, sloping down towards the ends. A screw down case back with a 10 point grip opening system. Case reference 20517. Signed to the inner case back with the UG logo.

The watch is powered by a 17 jewel caliber 267, Universal Geneve mechanism. Serial numbers date this watch to 1949.
