This Kirman rug has a profound beauty within its simple design. A visceral midnight blue dominates the majority of the background, whilst lighter striations along the ground level and skyline glow like subtle brush strokes of a painter. A couple of hand-drawn birds perch on the symbolic 'tree of life,' that produces an abundance of delicate leaves, plant buds and majestic flower heads. The different stages of development shown here adds a touch of realism to this idyllic garden scene, in a rug that proves even the smallest physical constraints are no match for the boundless power of creative imagination. Would make a great wall hanging.
