An exceptional late Victorian / early Edwardian mahogany console table by renowned furniture manufacturers Howard & Sons.This wonderful table features a rectangular mahogany top, below which is a beautifully carved neoclassical frieze. The frieze features two invisible drawers, both having dovetailed joints, brass locks and brass key escutcheons. Additionally, the top of the right-hand drawer face is stamped with ''Howard & Sons Ltd Berners St'' toward the centre and the product serial number to the right-hand side.Mounted on four fluted legs with a double ring turning to the top and slender reeding below.The overall condition is very good, with barely a mark to speak of .
